Ab Band District

Ab Band' is a district in Ghazni Province, Afghanistan. Its population, which is almost entirely Pashtun, was estimated at 41,340 in 2002. Ab Band is on the main road from Kabul to Kandahar. Ab band is divided into two parts North and South Aband between the two is a desert and a river which flow to the south into a lake.

Tarnak River

The Tarnak River is a river of Ghazni, Zabul and Kandahar provinces of Afghanistan. It rises in Hazarajat, near {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:33|7|N|67|56|E||| | |name= }}, south of the Lomar Pass. It flows towards the south-west for some 350 km before it joins the Dori River some 30 km downstream of the Dori-Arghastan confluence, and some 30 km upstream of the Dori-Arghandab confluence, at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:31|24|N|65|33|E||| | |name= }}.

Qarabagh District, Ghazni

Qarabagh (Qarah Bagh) district is located 56 km to the south west of Ghazni in eastern Afghanistan. The 1,800 km² area is one of the most populated at 109,000; some reports count more than 200,000. There are three ethnic groups - Pashtun about 54%, Sayed about 2% and Hazara about 44%. The landscape varies in different parts of the district - deserts in the southwest, plains in the southeast and mountains in the north.
