1989 attack on La Tablada Regiment

The 1989 attack on La Tablada Regiment was an assault on the military barracks located in La Tablada, in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, by 40 members of Movimiento Todos por la Patria (MTP), commanded by former ERP leader Enrique Gorriarán Merlo. 39 people were killed and 60 injured by the time the Argentine army retook the barracks.

National Route 3 (Argentina)

Mataderos

Mataderos is a barrio in Buenos Aires, Argentina, belonging to the 9th comuna (district). Located in the west end of the city, its name stem from the livestock market and slaughterhouses (the literal meaning of matadero). For much of its history, the area was a meeting point between the city and the countryside, and thus became a hub for rural commerce, and the main stop for gauchos inside city limits. Many famous payadas (improvised lyric contests) took place in the neighborhood bars.

Liniers

Liniers is a barrio (neighborhood) of Buenos Aires on the edge of the city, centered on Rivadavia Avenue. It is also an important train station and bus hub, connecting western Gran Buenos Aires with the Buenos Aires Metro. The barrio was built up following the building of Liniers railway station.
