Potrerillos, Mendoza

Potrerillos is a district of the Luján de Cuyo Department of the province of Mendoza, Argentina. It includes a number of small settlements along Provincial Routes 82 and 89, National Route 7, and the rivers Blanco and Mendoza. The center of Potrerillos is 63 km south from Mendoza City. Potrerillos used to be a group of farms and agricultural facilities, that gained importance after the railroad system reached it.

1782 Mendoza earthquake

The 1782 Mendoza earthquake was a seismic movement that took place in the province of Mendoza, Argentina, on 22 May 1782, at about 4 PM. It had an estimated magnitude of 7.0 in the Richter scale. Its epicenter was at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:33|0|S|69|12|W||| | |name= }}, at a depth of 30 km. This was the first earthquake of many which would affect the provincial capital, Mendoza, since its foundation.

Cacheuta Spa

The Cacheuta Spa (Spanish: Termas de Cacheuta) is a bathing establishment in Argentina exploiting the natural hot springs at Cacheuta on the Mendoza River in the foothills of the Andes. The spa lies on the old road leading from the city of Mendoza to the Uspallata Pass over the mountains into Chile.
