Mughni

Mughni is a village in the Aragatsotn Province of Armenia. It is located within the city limits of and just north of the city of Ashtarak. Until the Russian conquest, it was the southernmost town in the district of Aparan. Mughni has a recently restored 14th century monastery of S. Gevorg, which was formerly a popular pilgrimage site and the seat of an archbishop. The dome of the church was rebuilt in the 1660s.

Karbi, Armenia

Karbi is a village in the Aragatsotn Province of Armenia situated near the town of Ashtarak. Within the area is a triple-nave basilica of S. Astvatsatsin dated to 1691-93 with an unattached adjacent belfry of 1338. In the village are also S. Gevorg or S. Kiraki church of the 11th to 13th centuries, Tsiranavor, a Tukh Manuk shrine, and "Zargarents Jam" chapel built between the 11th to 13th centuries.

Ashtarak

Ashtarak is an industrial city in Armenia, on the left bank of Kasagh River along the gorge, approximately 20 km north-west of the capital Yerevan, at a height of 1110 meters above sea level. It is the administrative capital of Aragatsotn province. Ashtarak with 21,600 inhabitants, is an important crossroad of routes for the Yerevan–Gyumri–Vanadzor rectangle.
