Paterson railway station, New South Wales

Paterson is a railway station at Paterson on the North Coast Line branch of CityRail's Hunter Line in New South Wales, Australia. Diesel railcars travelling between Newcastle and the town of Dungog serve the station. The station receives five services to Newcastle and five services to Dungog on weekdays, with fewer on weekends.

Paterson, New South Wales

Paterson is a small township in the lower Hunter Valley of New South Wales, Australia. Located within Dungog Shire it is situated on the Paterson River. At the 2006 census, Paterson had a population of 345 people. It is in the middle of what was once dairy, timber and citrus country and is now more significantly a feeder town for the nearby mining industry in the Upper Hunter and the city of Newcastle.

Tocal, New South Wales

Tocal (meaning 'plenty' in the local Aboriginal language) is a locality situated in the lower Hunter Valley, of New South Wales, Australia. Located approximately 11 kilometres north of Maitland, and about 180 kilometres north of Sydney it is located at the junction of the Paterson River and Webbers Creek. Prior to European exploration, Tocal was home to the Gringai clan of the Wonnarua people. With European settlement, the area became the site of a major homestead and farm.
