Sunny Corner, New South Wales

Sunny Corner is a small village in the central west of New South Wales, Australia and former mining area located between Lithgow and Bathurst just north of the Great Western Highway (Route 32). At the 2006 census, Sunny Corner had a population of 626 people. The township was originally called Mitchell or Mitchell's Creek but the local community always called the area Sunny Corner and the name continued in use.

Winburndale Dam

Winburndale Dam is a concrete gravity dam on the Winburndale Rivulet in New South Wales. Its height is 22 metres (72 ft) and holds back 1,700 megalitres of water. The dam is situated within the Winburndale Nature Reserve, 19 kilometres East of Bathurst, New South Wales. There is no public access to the dam. It is used to supply raw water to Bathurst for the watering of parks and industrial use.

Cullen Bullen, New South Wales

Cullen Bullen is located on the Mudgee Road, 168 km north-west of Sydney, 28 km north of Lithgow. At the 2006 census, Cullen Bullen had a population of 198 people. The Cullen Bullen village is sustained by local mines and the Mount Piper Power Station. In the language of the Wiradjuri people, who occupied the district prior to white settlement; the word "cullen bullen" is believed to mean "Lyrebird".
