Wee Jasper, New South Wales

Wee Jasper is a village of about 80 people in the Goodradigbee valley at the western foot of the Brindabella Ranges, near Burrinjuck Dam in New South Wales, Australia in Yass Valley Shire. It is located 80 km north-west of Canberra and 54 km south-west of Yass. Wee Jasper Post Office was first opened on January 1886 and closed on March 1892. Three years later, it was reopened again and remained in service until 1994.

Brindabella National Park

Brindabella National Park is a national park in New South Wales, Australia, 267 km southwest of Sydney in the Brindabella Ranges. On 7 November 2008 The Park was added to the Australian National Heritage List as one of eleven areas constituting the Australian Alps National Parks and Reserves.

Cavan, New South Wales

Cavan is a rural community situated on south bank of Murrumbidgee River in the eastern part of the Riverina. It is situated by road, about 22 kilometres north from Wee Jasper and 26 kilometres south from Yass. It was named after the town of Cavan in Ireland. Cavan Post Office opened on 1 March 1887, closed in 1902, reopened in 1913 and closed in 1951.

Burrinjuck Power Station

Burrinjuck Power Station is a hydroelectric power station at Burrinjuck Dam, New South Wales, Australia. Burrinjuck has three turbines with a total generating capacity of 28 MW of electricity. The power station was commenced in 1927, running two 5 MW turbines. In 1938, an additional two 5 MW turbines were added at the dam wall. In 1972, floods damaged the original two turbines, which were decommissioned.
