Jimboomba

Jimboomba is a growing town of approximately 6,288 people, as recorded in the 2006 census, in the Logan City local government area, South East Queensland, Australia. It is situated on the Mount Lindesay Highway, 47 km south of Brisbane central business district. It has a large number of services, including an auxiliary/rural fire brigade and permanent ambulance service, a police station, domestic shopping, hotel, medical-dental services and primary schools.

Mundoolun, Queensland

Mundoolun is a semi-rural suburb of Logan City, Queensland, Australia. The locality was one of the first pastoral runs in the Logan/Albert River catchment. Previously part of Beaudesert Shire, Mundoolun merged with Logan City in 2008. The name Mundoolun is generally attributed to mundoolgunn (various spellings, including mundulgunn), a place name for death adder in the Bundjalung language.

Bromelton Offstream Storage

Bromelton Offstream Storage will be located near the Logan River at Brabazon Road, Gleneagle, and is scheduled for completion by March 2009. Bromelton Offstream Storage will have the capacity to deliver an additional 5,000ML/a of water, working in conjunction with Cedar Grove Weir and the proposed Wyaralong Dam to improve the reliability of the Logan River Water Supply Scheme in drought conditions.

Wyaralong Dam

The Wyaralong Dam is a water project that was initiated by the Queensland Government in 2006 as a result of a prolonged drought which saw the catchment areas of South East Queensland's dams receive record low rain. Construction of the dam wall was completed prior to the 2010–2011 Queensland floods. On January 11, during the flood period, Logan City’s Mayor Pam Parker and Scenic Rim’s Mayor John Brent said they believed Logan had been spared a great deal of flood damage because of the dam.
