Cunnamulla

Cunnamulla (Aboriginal meaning "long stretch of water") is a small town that lies on the Warrego River in South West Queensland, Australia, 206 kilometres south of Charleville, and approximately 750 kilometres west of the state capital, Brisbane. Cunnamulla is situated at the intersection of the Mitchell Highway and the Balonne Highway. At the 2006 census, the town had a population of 1,217.

Shire of Paroo

The Shire of Paroo is a local government area in South West Queensland, Australia. The administrative centre is the town of Cunnamulla. The Paroo Shire covers an area of 47,714.5 square kilometres . At the 2006 census, 1,217 of Paroo's 1,928 residents lived in Cunnamulla. The dominant industry is grazing. Opal fields are also worked within the shire.

Electoral district of Warrego

Warrego is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Queensland. The electorate lies in the extreme southwest of Queensland, running along the western part of the border with New South Wales. It includes a number of rural centres, including the towns of Roma, St George and Cunnamulla.

Glencoe Station

Glencoe Station is a pastoral lease that operates as a sheep station and more recently as a cattle station. It is located about 17 kilometres south of Cunnamulla and 154 kilometres north east of Hungerford in Queensland. The property is located on the floodplain of the Warrego River. The station was sold in 1909 by Mr Barney Smith to Mr Moore of New South Wales together with all stock and plant. The station was burnt to the ground in 1934 causing between £1000 and £2000 damage.
