Main Range National Park

Main Range is a mountain range and a national park in Queensland, 85 km southwest of Brisbane. It is part of the World Heritage Site Gondwana Rainforests of Australia (formerly known as the Central Eastern Rainforest Reserves). It protects the western part of a semicircle of mountains in South East Queensland known as the Scenic Rim. This includes the largest area of rainforest in South East Queensland.

Bill Gunn Dam

Bill Gunn Dam, 1.5 km west of the town of Laidley in South East Queensland, was developed to increase the capacity of the existing Lake Dyer, a natural lake adjacent to Laidley Creek, a tributary of Lockyer Creek. The dam was named after the Australian politician Bill Gunn and is managed by SunWater. The 1,170 m long earthfill structure has a maximum height of 12 m and an overflow spillway which diverts excess water into Laidley Creek.
