Currency Creek, South Australia

Currency Creek (postcode 5214) is a small town located on South Australia's Fleurieu Peninsula about 6 km north of Goolwa. The Currency Creek area was initially explored by Charles Sturt in the late 1820s, with the area being officially named in 1837 after the whaling boat Currency Lass. The township was surveyed in the 'Currency Creek Special Survey' of 1840.

Currency Creek Arboretum

The Currency Creek Arboretum (CCA; or Currency Creek Arboretum Eucalypt Research Centre) is located in South Australia near the geographical feature and small town of Currency Creek, up from the mouth of the Murray River at Goolwa, and south of Adelaide. CCA is a 32-hectare specialist Eucalypt arboretum and research centre, comprised solely of Australian native plants. Privately owned and operated, CCA is open by appointment only and does not charge entry fees.

Nurragi railway station

Nurragi was a former railway siding in South Australia, located approximately halfway along the Sandergrove to Milang spur-line, which branched off from the Mount Barker-Victor Harbor railway line. Opened in 1884, it was a 70 metres-long goods siding. The siding was closed in 1970, when the spur-line was abandoned and removed when the track was dismantled in the 1970s.
