Roseworthy, South Australia

Roseworthy is a small town in South Australia, about 10 km north of Gawler. At the 2006 census, Roseworthy had a population of 668. Roseworthy has a large grain storage facility consisting of both storage silos and bunkers for grain grown in the surrounding areas, and grain is collected by rail to be taken to Port Adelaide for export. The Roseworthy campus of the University of Adelaide, including the Murray Institute of TAFE, is west of the town.

Gawler Oval railway station

Gawler Oval railway station is a railway station on the Gawler railway line in the South Australian town of Gawler. It is located 41.4 km by railway from the Adelaide Railway Station. During 2006 the platform at Gawler Oval was extended to accommodate 3 car trains. A new passenger shelter was also installed. Before the platform was lengthened, only 2 car trains could use the platform, and the train had to be stopped precisely so that none of the train doors were beyond the ends of the platform.

Gawler Central railway station

Gawler Central railway station is the terminus railway station on the Gawler railway line which is located in the South Australian town of Gawler. It is located 42.2km by railway from the Adelaide Railway Station. The station was opened in May 1911 and was originally named Willaston. It was renamed North Gawler in September 1911. On 12 February 1984 the name was changed to Gawler Central.

Gawler, South Australia

Gawler is the first country town in the state of South Australia, and is named after the second Governor (British Vice-Regal representative) of the colony of South Australia, George Gawler. It is 44 km north of the centre of the state capital, Adelaide, and is close to the major wine producing district of the Barossa Valley. Topographically, Gawler lies at the confluence of two tributaries of the Gawler River, the North and South Para rivers, where they emerge from a range of low hills.
