Warrawong Sanctuary

Warrawong Sanctuary is a wildlife reserve near Adelaide, South Australia. Warrawong was established by Dr John Wamsley to conserve endangered Australian wildlife. He purchased the first 35 acres, a degraded dairy farm, in 1969, with 50 acres later added Wamsley eradicated all feral plants and animals from the sanctuary and erected a surrounding fence to preserve the sanctuary's feral free state.

Stirling, South Australia

Note: Stirling North is a different town, in the Mid North of South Australia. Stirling (sometimes called Stirling East) is an affluent town located in the Adelaide Hills. It is administered by the Adelaide Hills Council. Its population is about 2500, though the town has largely merged with neighbouring townships such as Crafers and Aldgate. Other nearby towns are Heathfield and Bridgewater.

Mount Lofty railway station

Mount Lofty Railway Station is a railway station in South Australia, on the former Adelaide-Bridgewater railway line, located in the Adelaide Hills suburb of Stirling. The station opened in 1883 and it is located 31.0 km (19m41c) by rail from the Adelaide Railway Station. It is the highest railway station between Adelaide and Melbourne. Two platforms were provided. The north or 'Down' platform is 125.0 metres long and the south or 'Up' platform is 103.6 metres long.
