Beechford, Tasmania

Beechford is a small beach side town on the northern coast of Tasmania. Not far from Georgetown Tasmania just 13.6 kilometres and 48.0 kilometres north of Launceston, is the tiny seaside town of Beechford. The place where the Curries River joins up with the Tasman Sea in Bass Strait. The turnoff to this place is found on the Georgetown to Bridport Road through Lefroy and it is a place that is yet to be “discovered” by tourism.

Pipers River

Pipers River is a river which flows through northern Tasmania. It starts on Mount Arthur, near Lilydale. It runs through Hollybank Forest, a tourist attraction, before flowing through the outer reaches of Lilydale. It then proceeds through to Karoola, Lower Turners Marsh and then Pipers River town. The river has its mouth at Pipers Heads near the towns of Weymouth and Bellingham flowing into Noland Bay, Bass Strait.

Pipers River, Tasmania

Pipers River is a small township on the river of the same name in the north of Tasmania, Australia. At the 2006 census, Pipers River had a population of 445. There is a tennis court, general store/takeaway, a fire station, church and cemetery. Pipers River Road serves as a thoroughfare connecting Launceston to the Bridport Highway. The road is sealed and well developed, however there are many sharp corners particularly around Karoola.
