Oatlands is an important historical village on the shores of Lake Dulverton in the centre of Tasmania, Australia. Oatlands is located 84 km north of Hobart and 115 km south of Launceston on the Midland Highway. At the 2006 census, Oatlands had a population of 540. Oatlands is considered to have the largest number of colonial sandstone buildings in any town in Australia, and many of them were built by convict labour.

Callington Mill
Callington Mill is a Lincolnshire tower mill built in 1837 in Oatlands, Tasmania by John Vincent. It has recently been restored so that it is now in full working order and is the only operating mill of its type in the Southern Hemisphere. It is the third oldest windmill in Australia. Traditional baker and blacksmith Alan Scott was a central figure at the mill. Today the mill is a major tourist attraction of Oatlands.

Lake Dulverton
Lake Dulverton is a large shallow lake/lagoon associated with the town of Oatlands in Southern Midlands of Tasmania. The lake has an uneven shoreline with many low sandstone cliffs and overhangs. The only island in the lake, Mary's Island, is a small sandstone rock roughly 80 m long with nothing more than a few cedars growing on it. The lake dried up in 1993 and remained dry for years until heavy rains in August, 2010, filled the lake to near full supply level.

Parattah, Tasmania
Parattah is a small township in Tasmania, located about 6 kilometres (4 mi) southeast of the town of Oatlands. At the 2006 census, Parattah had a population of 105. While not populated as such, the area is home to about 30 families, and contains a farmhouse which was once home to Hudson Fysh, one of the founders of Qantas, and a historic railway station. Parattah was once known as Parattah Junction due to the former Oatlands Railway which branched off towards Oatlands from this area.
