Enfield State Park

Enfield State Park is a 4,400-hectare state park near the locality of Enfield, approximately 25 kilometres south of Ballarat, in Victoria, Australia. The Park contains a diverse range of flora and fauna, some of which are significant, and also extensive evidence of the mining and forestry activities that were undertaken throughout the area from the late 1850s to the 1960s. It was opened in 1995.

Newtown, Victoria (Golden Plains Shire)

Newtown is a locality situated on Pitfield Road in Golden Plains Shire, 144 km north-west of Melbourne, in Victoria, Australia. The Post Office opened on 12 November 1868 as Newtown-Scarsdale (to distinguish it from Newtown, now a suburb of Geelong. The office closed in 1957.

Berringa, Victoria

Berringa is a small township in west-central Victoria, Australia. It is situated in Golden Plains Shire, about 43 km southwest of Ballarat. The township and surrounding rural community are located on the southern extremity of a range of Silurian slate and sandstone rock. The area was a centre of intensive gold mining in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Enfield, Victoria

Enfield is a rural locality in Victoria, Australia. The locality is in the Golden Plains Shire, near the regional city of Ballarat and 149 kilometres west of the state capital, Melbourne. At the 2006 census, Enfield had a population of 361. Enfield Post Office was renamed from Whim Holes Post office on 19 November 1874. It closed on 31 December 1971.

County of Grenville, Victoria

The County of Grenville is one of the 37 counties of Victoria which are part of the cadastral divisions of Australia, used for land titles. It is located to the north-east of Lake Corangamite and includes Cressy. Ballarat is on its north-eastern edge. The boundary to the east is the Yarrowee River, and to the south part of the Barwon River. Colac is on its southern edge.
