Cummeragunja Reserve

Cummeragunja Reserve or Cummeragunja Station, was an Australian Aboriginal reserve established in 1881 on the New South Wales side of the Murray River, on the Victorian border near Barmah. The people were mostly Yorta Yorta. Many of the original residents moved there from Maloga Mission, 3 miles away, where they had grown tired of the strict religious lifestyle. Maloga Mission had been established in 1874 by Daniel and Janet Matthews .

Barmah

Barmah is a town in Victoria, with the distinction of being located north of the southerly border with New South Wales. At the 2006 census, Barmah had a population of 201. The border between the two states is the mostly westward-flowing Murray River. Just downstream of Barmah, the Murray winds south, then east far enough to put a small point of New South Wales directly south of Barmah before resuming its generally westwards course. Barmah is near the largest River Red Gum forest in the world.

Moama

Moama is a town in the Riverina district of southern New South Wales, Australia, in the Murray Shire local government area. The town is directly across the Murray River from the larger town of Echuca in the neighbouring state of Victoria, to which it is connected by a bridge. At the 2006 census, Moama had a population of 3,331.

Echuca railway station

Echuca is a railway station on the Bendigo - Echuca - Deniliquin railway, located in the town of Echuca, Victoria, Australia. It is the terminus of the V/Line Echuca line passenger service, and is 249 km from Southern Cross Station in Melbourne. Freight sidings and a silo exist at this station, which is located on Sturt Street.

Echuca Wharf

Echuca Wharf is a historic timber wharf on the Murray River at Echuca in Victoria, Australia. The simultaneous construction of the wharf and the railway line between Echuca and Melbourne between 1865 and 1867 saw the Port of Echuca become the second largest port in Victoria and opened access to Melbourne ports and markets for much of the Murray-Darling basin. The wharf is still operating, servicing paddlesteamers for the tourist trade.
