Narraport, Victoria

Narraport is a town in the Mallee and Mount Jeffcot wards of the Local Government Area of the Shire of Buloke, Victoria, Australia. There is a rural CFA station in Narraport. The post office there opened on the 1 February 1879 and was closed on the 29 February 1968.

The Shire of Buloke is a local government area in Victoria, Australia. It is located in the north-western part of the state and is named after the tree buloke or bulloak Allocasuarina luehmannii which is common in the area. It includes the towns of Birchip, Charlton, Donald, Sea Lake and Wycheproof in addition to many smaller localities. It has an area of 8,004 square kilometres. In 2006 it had a population of 6,853.

Birchip, Victoria

Birchip is a town in the Mallee region of Victoria, Australia on the Sunraysia Highway north of Donald. The town is located in the Shire of Buloke local government area. At the 2006 census Birchip had a population of 822. It has a P-12 school, and an Australian rules football club called Birchip-Watchem, also known as the Birchip-Watchem Bulls, or just the "Bulls". A pastoral run was established in the region named Wirmburchep and when surveyed a parish was gazetted as Wirmbirchip.

Shire of Birchip

The Shire of Birchip was a local government area located about 170 kilometres northwest of Bendigo in northwestern Victoria, Australia. The shire covered an area of 1,468 square kilometres, and existed from 1895 until 1995.
