Simpson, Victoria

Simpson is a small town in the Western District of Victoria Australia. The town is in a dairying region and lies about halfway between Colac and the coastal fishing resort of Port Campbell. Located in the Corangamite Shire it is 20 kilometres south of Cobden. At the 2006 census, Simpson had a population of 813. The town is named after Les Simpson, the first chairman of the Soldier Settlement Commission.

Pirron Yallock railway station

Pirron Yallock is a closed station located in the town of Pirron Yallock, on the Warrnambool railway line in Victoria, Australia. The station building is located at the station, but the platform has been demolished. The station was one of 35 closed to passenger traffic on 4 October 1981, as part of the New Deal timetable for country passengers.

County of Polwarth

The County of Polwarth is one of the 37 counties of Victoria which are part of the cadastral divisions of Australia, used for land titles. The County is in the Western District of Victoria and includes the Cape Otway area, bounded by the Gellibrand River in the west and the Anglesea River and Barwon River in the east, in the north by a line from Winchelsea, through Colac to Larpent, and by Bass Strait to the south. The largest town is Colac. The County was proclaimed in 1849.
