Dundas, Western Australia

Dundas is the name of an abandoned town in the Goldfields-Esperance Region of Western Australia. The town is located about 2 kilometres east of the Esperance Branch Railway, on the western shore of Lake Dundas. Dundas was the location of an early gold find in the region in 1894. The town was gazetted on 22 May 1895 and derives its name from the Dundas Hills which, in turn, were named after Captain Dundas of the Royal Navy ship HMS Tagus in 1848.

Norseman, Western Australia

Norseman is a town located in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia along the Coolgardie-Esperance Highway, 726 kilometres east of Perth and 278 metres above sea level. It is also the starting point of the Eyre Highway, and the last major town in Western Australia before the South Australian border 720 kilometres to the east. At the 2006 census, Norseman had a population of 857.

Shire of Dundas

The Shire of Dundas is a local government area in the Goldfields-Esperance region of Western Australia, between Norseman and the South Australian border generally along the Eyre Highway, between 700 and 1,500 kilometres (430-930 mi) east of the state capital, Perth. The Shire covers an area of 93,179 square kilometres and its seat of government is the town of Norseman.
