Wokalup, Western Australia

Wokalup is a town located in the South West region of Western Australia along the South Western Highway, between Harvey and Brunswick Junction. At the 2006 census, Wokalup had a population of 449. Wokalup's name derives from an Aboriginal name meaning "the place of the carpet snake" (wokul). Such snakes were often found in farm sheds in the area prior to the commencement of irrigation but tiger snakes became more common subsequently.

Harvey Senior High School

Harvey Senior High School is a comprehensive public high school located in Harvey, a regional centre 140 kilometres south of Perth, Western Australia. The school was established in 1958 and by 2012 had an enrollment of 220 students between Year 8 and Year 12, approximately 8% of whom were Aboriginal. The school operated as a junior high school from 1958 to 1962 when it moved from the present primary school site to the current site on the South-West Highway.

The Shire of Harvey is a local government area of Western Australia. It is located in the state's South West region, approximately 140 km south of Perth, and includes some of Bunbury's northern suburbs.
