Dyvin

Dyvin is a small town (formally a village) in Belarusian region of Polesia. Located on the southern bank of the Prypiat and at the Kobryn-Kovel road, it is close to the modern borders with Poland and Ukraine. First mentioned in 1466, around 1546 the village of Dyvin received city rights. Around that time the town had 184 houses, a market square and five streets in total. In 1642 king of Poland Władysław IV Vasa granted the burghers with Magdeburg Law.

Pinsk Marshes

The Pinsk Marshes, also known as the Pripyat or Pripet Marshes and the Rokitno Marshes, are a vast natural region of wetlands along the Pripyat River and its tributaries from Brest, Belarus (west) to Mogilev (northeast) and Kiev (southeast). The Pinsk Marshes mostly lie within the Polesian Lowland and occupy most of the southern part of Belarus and the north-west of Ukraine. They cover roughly 38,000 square miles surrounding the Pripyat River on both sides.
