Actun Tunichil Muknal

Actun Tunichil Muknal (Cave of the Crystal Sepulchre), also known locally as “Xibalba” or ATM, is a cave in Belize, near San Ignacio, Cayo District, notable as a Maya archaeological site that includes skeletons, ceramics, and stoneware. There are several areas of skeletal remains in the main chamber. The best-known is "The Crystal Maiden", the skeleton of a teenage girl, possibly a sacrifice victim, whose bones have been calcified to a sparkling, crystallized appearance.

Roaring Creek, Belize

Roaring Creek is a small village in the Cayo District of Belize, just north-west of Belmopan. Its name is derived from the creek waterfalls which flow into the Belize River next to the Guanacaste Park area. Roaring Creek has a population of less than 2000 people, which includes Central American immigrants, Kriols and Mopan Maya. Creole is the main language used in the village. The village hosts two primary schools, The Roman Catholic and the Nazarene, and two elementary schools.

Isidoro Beaton Stadium

Isidoro Beaton Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Belmopan, Belize. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium to Belmopan Blaze and Builders Hardware Bandits. It is also the home stadium to Belmopan Blaze in the Belize Premier Football League (BPFL) of the Football Federation of Belize. The stadium holds 2,500 people.

Valley of Peace, Belize

Valley of Peace (Valle de Paz in original Spanish) is a village in the Cayo District of Belize. In 2000 Valley of Peace had a population of 1,809 people. The population in 2007 grew to 2,108. It was created as a refugee community for immigrants fleeing from the El Salvador Civil War. Each family was facilitated with a plot of land and are the predominant suppliers of vegetables to the Belmopan area. This community started with a total of seven families.

Belmopan

Belmopan, estimated population of 14,606, is the capital city of Belize. Belmopan is located at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:17|15|N|88|46|W||| | |name= }}, at an altitude of 76 metres (250 ft) above sea level. Belmopan was constructed just to the east of the Belize River, 80 km inland from the former capital, the port of Belize City, after that city's near destruction by Hurricane Hattie in 1961. The government was moved to Belmopan in 1970.
