Barra da Tijuca is a famous borough in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, located southwest of the city on the Atlantic Ocean. Terra Encantada was a park in Rio de Janeiro which designed to be one of the most modern amusement parks in Latin America. It was opened in 1998 after two delays in opening. There are 200 thousand square metres located at Avenida Ayrton Senna, 2800, Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro with a theme based on characters and festivals of Brazilian culture and its origins: indigenous, African and European.

Monte Makaya
Monte Makaya is a steel, looping roller coaster manufactured by Intamin and located at Terra Encantada in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. When it opened in 1998, it tied Dragon Khan's then-record with eight inversions; although it and Dragon Khan were made by different manufacturers and have very different layouts. Monte Makaya is located in the Terra Africana section at the back of Terra Encantada, at the park's far northwest corner.

Marapendi Club
The Marapendi Club in Rio de Janeiro was the tennis venue during the 2007 Pan American Games. The venue has also hosted several Davis Cup ties of the Brazil Davis Cup team. The tournament will be played on clay courts. The Club will also host Wheelchair Tennis matches during the Parapan American Games 2007.
