Boyadzhik

Boyadzhik is a village in Tundzha Municipality of Yambol Province, Bulgaria. Situated 22 km west of the city of Yambol, and 8 km southwest of the joint United States-Bulgarian Bezmer Air Base, at an elevation 153 m. Population 1,514. It is the birthplace of Ivan Atanasov, the father of John Vincent Atanasoff.

Tundzha municipality is a municipality of Yambol Province, southeastern Bulgaria. The municipality has an area of 1,218.86 square kilometres, making it the second-largest by area in the country after the Capital Municipality (i.e. the city of Sofia). Yambol (Bulgarian: област Ямбол, oblast Yambol, former name Yambol okrug) is a province in southeastern Bulgaria, neighbouring Turkey to the south. It is named after its main city Yambol, while other towns include Straldzha, Bolyarovo and Elhovo. The province embraces a territory of 3,355.5 km² that is divided into 5 municipalities with a total population, as of December 2009, of 138,429 inhabitants.
