Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo

Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Yaoundé, Cameroon. It is used mostly for football matches and it also has athletics facilities. The stadium has seats for 38,720 people. For important matches standing areas can also be created, thus increasing the capacity. http://www. fussballtempel. net/caf/listecaf. html It was built in 1972, and is the home stadium of the Canon Yaoundé and Tonnerre Yaoundé. Second Battle of Jaunde

The Second Battle of Jaunde involved the successful British and French assault on the German capital of Jaunde during the Kamerun Campaign of the First World War. After the failure of the First Battle of Jaunde during the summer of 1915, the bulk of Allied forces had retreated to the Kele river. Following the Second Duala Conference where Allied commanders discussed the situation, it was decided that another assault should be attempted.

Cameroon

First Battle of Jaunde

The First Battle of Jaunde involved the attempted British and French assault on the German capital of Jaunde during the Kamerun Campaign of the First World War. Due to a lack of coordination, difficult terrain, adverse weather conditions, and stiff German resistance, the attack was forced to retreat in late June 1915. Another assault on the capital would not be conducted until later that year.
