Spuzzum, British Columbia

Spuzzum is an unincorporated settlement in British Columbia, Canada. Because it is on the Trans-Canada Highway, approximately 50 km (31 mi) north of the community of Hope, it is often referred to as being "beyond Hope". Spuzzum was immortalized in the early 1980s by the band "Six Cylinder" in a song with the refrain "If you haven't been to Spuzzum, you ain't been anywhere. " The name Spuzzum may be a local variant of spatsum, a Chinook Jargon word for the reed used in basket weaving.

The Old Settler

The Old Settler, 2132 m (6995 ft) prominence: 1222 m, is the highest mountain in the southernmost part of the Lillooet Ranges of the Coast Mountains in British Columbia, Canada, located between the Fraser Canyon (E) and Harrison Lake (W) to the northeast of the town of Agassiz between Bear and Cogburn Creeks.

Alexandra Bridge (Trans-Canada)

The Alexandra Bridge is a steel arch-span bridge crossing the Fraser River on the north side of Spuzzum, British Columbia and 39 km from Hope, on the Trans-Canada Highway in the Fraser Canyon region of southern British Columbia, Canada. It was constructed between 1960 and 1964 and is the third structure in the area named the Alexandra Bridge.
