Motherwell Homestead

The Motherwell Homestead is a National Historic Site of Canada located just south of the community of Abernethy, Saskatchewan. The site commemorates the life and achievements of William Richard Motherwell, Saskatchewan's first minister of agriculture and federal minister of agriculture for the Mackenzie King government. The homstead fieldstone house, called Lanark Place after Motherwell previous Ontario home and modeled after similar farmsteads built in Ontario.

Katepwa Lake

Katepwa Lake is a recreational lake in the Qu’appelle Valley within the Resort Village of District of Katepwa. Along the lake are walking paths, a nature trail, and a golf course. The Resort villages of Katepwa, Katepwa Beach, Katepwa South, and Sandy Beach are located along the shores of the lake.

Katepwa Beach, Saskatchewan

Katepwa Beach is a hamlet in Abernethy Rural Municipality No. 186, Saskatchewan, Canada. In 2006 the community had a population of 112 people. It previously held the status of a village until it was amalgamated into the District of Katepwa on July 24, 2004. The hamlet is located 16 km south of the Town of Fort Qu'Appelle on highway 56. The community is located on the southwest shore of Katepwa Lake.

It previously held the status of a village until it was amalgamated into the District of Katepwa on July 24, 2004. The hamlet is located 23 km south of the Town of Fort Qu'Appelle on highway 56. The community is located on the southwest shore of Katepwa Lake.
