Pukará de Quitor

Pukará de Quitor (also spelled Pucará de Quitor) is a pre-Columbian archaeological site in northern Chile. This stone fortress is located 3 km northwest of the town of San Pedro de Atacama, overlooking the valley of the river San Pedro. It was designated a national monument in 1982.

R. P. Gustavo Le Paige Archaeological Museum

R. P. Gustavo Le Paige Archaeological Museum is a museum located in San Pedro de Atacama, Chile. It houses a collection of about 380,000 pre-Columbian artifacts from the Atacameño culture. The museum is named after Jesuit missionary Father Gustavo Le Paige, who was its founder. This museum belongs to the Catholic University of the North.

Sairecabur

The Sairécabur volcanic group is a chain of stratovolcanoes located approximately 38 km northeast of San Pedro de Atacama, and directly south of the Putana Volcano, on the border between Bolivia and Chile. This volcanic group contains at least ten peaks, the highest of which is Cerro Sairécabur at 5,971 m .

Licancabur

Licancabur is a highly symmetrical stratovolcano on the southernmost part of the border between Chile and Bolivia. It is located just southwest of Laguna Verde in Bolivia. The volcano dominates the landscape of the Salar de Atacama area. The lower two thirds of the northeastern slope of the volcano belong to Bolivia, 5,400 m from the foot at 4,360 m, while the rest and biggest part, including the higher third of the northeastern slope, the crater and summit, belong to Chile.

Licancabur Lake

Lago Licancabur is a crater lake in Chile located in the Licancabur volcano in the Antofagasta region, of the Región de Antofagasta, Province of El Loa and close to San Pedro de Atacama as well as very close to the border of Chile with Bolivia. It is believed to be one of the highest lakes in the world at an elevation of 5,916 m .
