Taapaca

Taapaca, is part of the Nevados de Putre volcanic complex. It is a complex volcano located in Chile's XV region of Tarapaca, and towers over the picturesque town of Putre. Tarapaca was a ceremonial site for the Inca people and it is partially contained within the boundaries of Lauca National Park.

Pomerape

Pomerape is a stratovolcano lying on the border of northern Chile and Bolivia. It is part of the Nevados de Payachata complex of volcanoes, together with Parinacota Volcano to the south. It is of Pleistocene age. Climbing the volcano is alpine grade AD, sometimes on 50+ degree snow/rubble slope. A camp can be established at 5,300 metres at the saddle between Parinacota and Pomerape.
