Sumxi

Sumxi is a village in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. It is located at 5210 meters above sea level. It is populated by indigenous nomadic people, but has also a checkpoint where all traffic on the Tibet-Xinjiang Highway is checked by military personnel or police. Some of the inhabitants have also set up shop, that sells basic supplies such as noodles.

Longmu Lake

Longmu (Tibetan: ལུང་མུ་མཚོ, Wylie: lung mu mtsho; Chinese: 龙木错; pinyin: Lóngmù Cuò), also Longmu Co or Longmucuo, is a glacial lake in Rutog County in the Ngari Prefecture in the northwest of the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. It was investigated in 1989 in a Sino-French expedition to western Tibet.
