Longwan District is an outlying district or ward of Wenzhou urban area (roughly equiv to Western "city"), of prefectural-level city (roughly equivalent to a provincial subregion) of Wenzhou (same name), Zhejiang province, China. It has a population of some 300,000 people and an area of some 279 square kilometers. It is famous for private enterprises, especially leather and the metal industry. Also, this dirtrict is one of the most important one in Wenzhou.

China Southwest Airlines Flight 4509
China Southwest Airlines Flight 4509 (SZ4509) was a flight from Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, Sichuan to Wenzhou Yongqiang Airport, Zhejiang. On February 24, 1999 it crashed into a field while on approach to Wenzhou Airport, killing all 61 passengers and crew members on board. Witnesses saw the plane nose dive into the ground from an altitude of 2,300 feet and explode. Following the incident all Tupolev Tu-154 aircraft in China were taken out of service.

Rui'an

It has a population of 1,125,000 people and covers an area of 1271 km, 3037 km including sea. Natives of the city speak the Rui'an dialect of Wu Chinese. Rui'an was recognized as the fourteenth development zone by the state department in 1987.
