Lacustrino de Tamborcito Wetlands

Lacustrino de Tamborcito Wetlands is a Nature Reserve, part of the Arenal Huetar Norte Conservation Area, in the northern part of Costa Rica about 80 miles north of San José, to the east of Boca Tapada. Los Chiles is the name of the 14th canton in the province of Alajuela in Costa Rica. The canton covers an area of 1,358.86 square kilometres, and has a population of 21,523 (estimate as of 2003). The capital city of the canton is also called Los Chiles. The canton lies along the border of Nicaragua at the top of the Llanura de San Carlos (San Carlos Plain) in north central Costa Rica.

San Carlos, Río San Juan

San Carlos is the capital city of the municipality of San Carlos and of the Río San Juan Department of Nicaragua. The city proper has a population of roughly 12,174, while the city and surrounding communities (Comarcas) contain 37,461 as of 2005.
