San Marcos or San Marcos de Tarrazú is the capital city of the canton of Tarrazú in the province of San José in Costa Rica. It is also the name of the distrito (district) that includes the city. The district of San Marcos covers an area of 42.07 km², and has a population of 8,817. Tobosi
Tobosi is a town in the province of Cartago, Costa Rica, located about 12 miles southwest of the city of Cartago. It is also known as San Juan de Tobosi, because St. John the Evangelist is the patron guardian. Tobosi is one of the oldest towns in the country. El Guarco is the name of the eighth canton in the province of Cartago in Costa Rica. The canton covers an area of 167.69 square kilometres, and has a population of 36,291 (estimate as of 2003). The capital city of the canton is El Tejar. El Guarco is an elongated canton that stretches southeast from its capital city to encompass a swatch of the Cordillera de Talamanca (Talamanca Mountain Range). The Carretera Interamericana delineates the canton's lengthy southwestern border.
