Podgora, Split-Dalmatia County

Podgora is a small town in the Split-Dalmatia County of Croatia. It is located on the Adriatic coastline of Dalmatia. The town has a population of 1,500 (2001) while the municipality of Podgora (which includes several smaller towns) has a population of about 3,000 (2001). Podgora has a largely tourism-based economy. With its five hotels, it has four times as many beds as inhabitants. It is located 65 km south of Split and 135 km north of Dubrovnik.

Tučepi

Tučepi is a small town and municipality in the Split-Dalmatia County of Croatia. It is located on the Adriatic coast of Dalmatia known as Makarska riviera, about 5 km southeast of Makarska, population 1,763 (2001). It is a popular tourist destination thanks to its glorious coastline, its opportunities for sports and its excellent accommodation.

Zabiokovlje

Zabiokovlje is a hinterland, continental area of mountain Biokovo in southern Croatia. There are the townlets and villages like Gornja Brela, Zadvarje, Žeževica, Grabovac, Rastovac, Zagvozd, Župa, Rašćane i Kozica. Major economic activities there were cattle raising, grape growing, and hunting. Part of this area is in Nature Park Biokovo. From the south-eastern side of the mountain of Biokovo is the Makarska riviera.

Igrane

Igrane is a village in Croatia, around 19 km south from Makarska. It has about 420 inhabitants. At the highest point of the village is the "Kula Zale" tower - named after Ivan Anticic, and built during the 17th century as a protection against Turks. The Pre-Romanesque church of St. Michael (Sveti Mihovil), dating from the 11th century, dominates the village. Tourism and agriculture are the main sources of income for the inhabitants.
