Paphos General Hospital

Paphos General Hospital is the Paphos district's main medical centre. With four stories and 25.000m this pyramid shaped hospital is designed to offer to patients first aid to MRI Scans. When opened in 1992 it was considered one of the best medical centers in the Middle East. Nowadays this is not valid. The hospital was left to decline and it is currently unable to handle the rapidly growing population of Paphos.

Pafiako Stadium

The Pafiako Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Paphos, the stadium holds 9,394 people. It has a full size running track around the outside of its football and rugby playing field and is used for many athletics events throughout the year. Aphroditi Sports Hall

Aphroditi Sports Hall is the largest arena in the city of Paphos. It is named after "Aphrodite", also known as Venus, one of the 12 ancient Greek gods which is said was born at Petra Tou Romiou 20 km East. This arena can host up to 2,000 spectators. Is the home of "Pafiakos" and "Dionysos" volley teams, both playing at the Cypriot first division.

Lempa, Cyprus

Lempa is a village in Cyprus located approximately 4 km (2.5 mi) north of the town of Paphos. It is sometimes written as Lemba, which is also closer to the correct pronunciation. Neighboring villages are Empa, Kissonerga and Chlorakas. The village is located on top of an escarpment overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, and is set in one of the most fertile parts of Cyprus.

Emba, Paphos

Emba is one of the largest villages in Paphos, Cyprus. It is spread over a wide area and not only borders Paphos but also the villages of Chlorakas, Kissonerga, Tala, Tremithousa and Mesogi. It has a population of 4,500 people. The village already existed by the Byzantine era and it is known from the Frankish period with the same name. The 15th century Cypriot historian Leontios Machairas in his Chronicle, par. 129, mentions a visit of the King of Cyprus, Peter I (1359–1369), quoting "...
