Pernink
Pernink is a village in Karlovy Vary District in the Czech Republic. It is situated in the valley of Bílá Bystřice at 840 m above the sea level. It has approximately 650 residents. From 1938 to 1945 it was one of the municipalities in Sudetenland. At the beginning of the 16th century, mining pioneers settled in the area dominated by dense forest. According to a legend, a bear found silver-stones there. The legend is preserved in the coat of arms and also in the German name (Bär = Bear).

Jugel
Jugel is a municipality in the borough of Johanngeorgenstadt in the German district of Erzgebirgskreis. This dispersed settlement is surrounded by woods, is divided into Ober- and Unterjugel ("Upper and Lower Jugel") and runs along the German-Czech border from the Lehmergrund (708 m) to the crest of the Western Ore Mountains (873 m). In the vicinity lies the 980 metre-high Scheffelsberg. Jugel is a tourist destination for hikers and winter sportsmen.

Scheffelsberg
The Scheffelsberg is a forested mountain south of Jugel in the western Saxon Ore Mountains, which is 980 metres high. The Czech-German border runs over its summit. In winter a cross-country skiing trail runs from Henneberg via the Scheffelsberg towards the border. In clear visibility there is a good view of the Saxon-Bohemian upper Ore Mountains from the nearby peak of Buchschachtelberg through the trees.
