Velhartice

Velhartice is a village in the Czech Republic dating to the 13th century, dominated by the Gothic castle Hrad Velhartice. The castle was built 1290-1310 by a nobleman who later became courtier and close friend of the Emperor Charles IV (1316-1378). During the Thirty Years' War, Emperor Ferdinand II gave the castle to one of his generals, Don Balthazar de Marradas who, in 1628, sold it to Don Martin de Hoeff Huerta who bought it for his beautiful adopted daughter Anne-Marie of Moldavia.

Zelená Hora

Zelená Hora ("Green Mountain") is a castle on the south side of Nepomuk, in the Czech Republic. The church has been a pilgrimage site since the 1700s. In 1819 Václav Hanka's forged medieval Manuscript of Zelená Hora, a counterpart to his Manuscript of Dvůr Kralové, was allegedly discovered in the castle and not exposed as a literary hoax, by Atheneum, until 1886.

Vydra (river)

The Vydra is a 23.1 kilometres river in the Czech Republic. The Vydra begins in the Bohemian Forest near Modrava, at the confluence of the Roklanský potok and the Modravský potok. However, Modravský potok's tributary, the Luzenský potok originates slightly across the Germany–Czech Republic border 1,215 metres up the north slopes of Mt. Lusen Czech: Luzný) in Bavaria is considered to be the Vydra's true source.

Týniště (Plzeň-South District)

Týniště is a small municipality (56 inhabitants in 2006, compared to 175 inhabitants in 1880)which is located in the Pilsen Region 36 kilometres (23 miles) to the south of the city of Pilsen 530 metres (1,720') above sea level on the regional route 230 . Until 1990 a part of the Horšice municipality. The village was firstly mentioned in 1379. In the 16th century it was known as Pustá ("empty" or "deserted").
