St. Nicolas Church in Louny

St. Nicolas Church in Louny is a roman-catholic, parochial church dedicated to Saint Nicolas, located in Louny, Czech Republic. The 1517 fire destroyed the nave and damaged the tower of the original church. Afterwards it was designed and rebuilt by royal architect Benedikt Rejt. After it was finished in 1538, it became one of the supreme pieces of Czech late Gothic. The temple has three naves, with external support system, round arches and pyramid-shaped turrets.

Bořeň

Bořeň (539 m) (also known as Biliner-stein, Borschen), is a phonolite hill 2 km south of Bílina in NW Bohemia, Czech Republic. When seen from NW side, the hill has a shape of lying lion. It is a structure similar to Mountain Devils Tower in Wyoming. It is the largest phonolite structure of its kind in Europe. Dominates both the town Bílina and for the Czech Central Mountains, with its distinctive silhouette is visible from quite a number of remote locations.
