Zlín Region

Zlín Region is an administrative unit of the Czech Republic, located in the central-eastern part of the historical region of Moravia. It is named after its capital Zlín. It is also the only region of the Czech Republic which did not have any significant German-speaking enclaves or borderlands before 1945. Vizovice

Vizovice is a town with about 4,598 inhabitants in the Zlín Region, Czech Republic. The first recorded reference to the community was in 1261. Vizovice received town privileges in 1498. The annual Masters of Rock Heavy metal festival takes place in Vizovice. It is also home to famous Karel Singer's distillery, founded in 1812. Karel was the inventor of many liquors, such as apricot brandy, between others. The Vizovice Chateau is a major attraction.

Tomas Bata University in Zlín (TBU), (Czech Univerzita Tomáše Bati ve Zlíně), is a progressive university comprising six faculties offering students the possibility of studying technology, economics, humanities, arts and health care. The University is named after the world-famous entrepreneur Tomas Bata (1876–1932) who was also the originator of the shoe industry in Zlín.
