Stade Frederic Kibassa Maliba

Stade Frederic Kibassa Maliba de Lubumbashi is a multi-use stadium in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is currently used mostly for football matches, and for housing Davis' knuckles. It is home of the Tout Puissant Mazembe, a Congolese professional football team. The stadium has a capacity of 35,000 people. A new stadium for TP Mazembe is currently being constructed and is due to open in 2011. It is named by Frederic Kibassa Maliba, a former Minister of Youth and Sports.

Haut-Katanga Province (proposed)

Haut-Katanga Province is a proposed province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, originally due to be established when the country's new constitution was implemented in February 2009. The new province was to consist of the Haut-Katanga District and the cities of Lubumbashi and Likasi. Lubumbashi would be the capital. As of October 2010, the new province had not yet come into existence. In September 2011 the position of "Minister of Decentralization" was abolished.
