Rougsø Municipality

Until January 1, 2007 Rougsø municipality was a municipality in the former Aarhus County on the east coast of the Jutland peninsula in central Denmark. It covered an area of 224 km², and had a total population of 8.078 (2005). Its last mayor was Torben Jensen. The site of its municipal council was Allingåbro. Other towns in the municipality were Gjesing, Holbæk, Nørager, Vivild, and Ørsted. Rougsø municipality ceased to exist due to Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007).

Sønderhald Municipality

Until January 1, 2007 Sønderhald municipality was a municipality in the former Aarhus County in the eastern part of the Jutland peninsula in central Denmark. It covered an area of 138 km², and had a total population of 8.503 (2005). Its last mayor was Kirsten Wyrtz, a member of the Social Democrats (Socialdemokraterne) political party. The site of its municipal council was Auning. Other towns in the municipality were Assentoft, Uggelhuse, and Øster Alling.

Djurs Sommerland

Djurs Sommerland (English: Djur's Summer Land) is an amusement park, situated 3 kilometers north of Nimtofte on Djursland, 23 kilometers west of Grenaa, and 36 km east of Randers, Denmark. The park was opened in 1981, and it has been expanded every year since then. The park is, like the name suggests, only open in the summer. It opens around May 10 and the season lasts until mid-September.

Huldremose Woman

Huldremose Woman, or Huldre Fen Woman, is a bog body recovered in 1879 from a peat bog near Ramten, Jutland, Denmark. Analysis by Carbon 14 dating revealed the woman had lived during the Iron Age, around 160 BCE-340 CE. The mummified remains are exhibited at the National Museum of Denmark. The elaborate clothing worn by Huldremose Woman has been reconstructed and displayed at several museums.
