Hindsholm is a peninsula forming the north-eastern extremity of the Danish island of Funen. It is bound to the south by the Kerteminde Fjord but linked to the rest of the island in the south-west. It belongs to Kerteminde municipality.

Kerteminde

Kerteminde, is a town in central Denmark, located in Kerteminde Municipality on the island of Funen. The town has a population of 5,789 (1 January 2012). It is a small harbor town surrounded by farms. While Kerteminde can supply most amenities to its residents, the nearby city of Odense is a popular destination for Kerteminde residents. Kerteminde is also recognized for its fish restaurant, Rudolf Mathis and for the research and exhibition institution for fish and porpoises Fjord & Bælt.

Kerteminde Municipality

Kerteminde Municipality is a municipality in Region of Southern Denmark on the northeast coast of the island of Funen in central Denmark. The municipality includes the island of Romsø, and it covers an area of 203 km². It has a total population of 23,630 (2008). Its mayor is Sonja Rasmussen, a former member of the Social Democratic Party (Socialdemokraterne).

Martofte

Martofte is a village on the island of Funen in Denmark. It is at the end of the former railway line Odense–Kerteminde–Martofte Jernbane which closed in 1966.

Romsø

Romsø is a Danish island in the Great Belt off the coast of Funen. It has an area of 1.09 km² and has, since 1996, no permanent residents. A defunct lighthouse and a few houses are located on the island; a substantial part of its area is covered by forest. The island is privately owned; although it is not closed to the general public some restrictions may apply. Visitors may reach Romsø by a small passenger boat that departs from Kerteminde.
