Los Limones is a small community in the north east part of María Trinidad Sánchez Province, Dominican Republic. It is located in the El Pozo municipal district. It is an important place in the Nagua valley. The demographic makeup of the place includes those who work in the rice plantations, which provides a sustainable economic prosperity. La Isabela

La Isabela in the Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic is considered the first formal European settlement in the New World. It was founded by Christopher Columbus during his second voyage in 1493 and named after Queen Isabella I of Castile. This was after discovering that the fort of La Navidad, which he had constructed during his first trip, had been totally destroyed by the native Taino people. The settlement was established to search for precious metals.
