Los Limones

Los Limones is a small community in the north east part of María Trinidad Sánchez Province, Dominican Republic. It is located in the El Pozo municipal district. It is an important place in the Nagua valley. The demographic makeup of the place includes those who work in the rice plantations, which provides a sustainable economic prosperity. The story behind the name of the community probably dates to before the locality was colonized.

Monte Cristi National Park

Monte Cristi National Park (Parque National Monte Cristi) is a national park on the Caribbean Island of Hispanola that extends from the borders of Haiti to Punta Rucia in the Dominican Republic and covers an area of 550 km². Its contains coastal lagoons, beaches, mangrove swamps, a 237 m (777 ft) limestone mesa from which can be seen off shore keys and forested slopes of the mesa's northern side. The area is very dry, receiving just over two inches of rain per year.

Yaque del Norte River

The Yaque Del Norte River is the longest river in the Dominican Republic. The river rises in the centre of the country to the south of Santiago city in Santiago province. The river runs roughly due north, through Santiago, before turning west-north-west through the Cibao Valley. The river's source originates in the Cordillera Central as small rivulets, before merging into one as they flow north down toward the Cibao Valley. It enters the Manzanillo Bay in the Atlantic just west of Monte Cristi.
