Mohandessin

Mohandessin, could also be spelled Mohandesin or Mohandeseen, is an up-scale neighborhood in Giza. Its name means in Arabic literally the engineers, which was because it was given to at cheaper prices to engineers in Egypt; there is a similar area in Mohandesin called Sahafeyeen (journalists), mo'alemeen (Teachers), and ateba'a (Doctors), all designed for people with these professions.

Cairo University

Cairo University is a public university in Giza, Egypt. The university was founded on December 21, 1908, as the result of an effort to establish a national center for educational thought. Several constituent colleges preceded the establishment of the university including the College of Engineering (كلية الهندسة) in 1816, which was shut down by the Khedive of Egypt and Sudan, Sa'id Pasha, in 1854.

Dokki

El Dokki is a district of greater Giza, Egypt. Dokki is situated on the Western bank of the Nile, directly across from Downtown Cairo. Many Cairene landmarks are located in Dokki, the German school DEO and the embassies of many countries including Russia, Somalia, France, Chad, the Czech Republic and Ethiopia. Dokki is home to approximately 40 foreign embassies, a number surpassed only by the Zamalek district. King Idris of Libya died at the Palace in Dokki in 1983.

Orman Garden

The Orman Garden is one of the most famous Botanical gardens in Egypt. It is located at Giza, in Cairo. It dates back to 1875 and the reign of Khedive Isma'il Pasha who established the garden on a larger site than it presently occupies as part of the Palace of the Khedive. It became a public botanical garden in 1910/1917 and put under the Ministry of Agriculture management. The garden covers about 28 acres.
