Located in the Debubawi Zone at the eastern edge of the Ethiopian highlands, Raya Azebo is bordered on the south by Amhara Region, on the southwest by Alamata, on the west by Ofla and Endamehoni, on the northwest by Alaje, on the north by Debub Misraqawi (Southeastern) Zone, and on the east by the Afar Region.
