Angelniemi

Angelniemi is a former municipality of Finland. It became part of Halikko in 1967. It was located on partly on the continent by the Halikonlahti Bay and partly on Kimito Island and is still nowadays the only part of the island where Finnish is the primary language. Today the population of the area is 398, but it rises during the summer because of the summer cottages. The center of the municipality was Kokkila, which lies on the continent.

Kimito

Kimito is a former municipality of Finland. On January 1, 2009, it was consolidated with Dragsfjärd and Västanfjärd to form the new municipality of Kimitoön. Prior to the consolidation, it was one of the four municipalities located on Kimito island, the other three being Västanfjärd, Dragsfjärd and Halikko. It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Finland Proper region.

Kimitoön (island)

Kimitoön is the largest coastal island of Finland with the area of 524 square kilometres . It is situated in the Finland Proper region in Western Finland province. The island has a population of 7,500 divided between the two municipalities: Kimitoön and Salo of which Salo is mostly located on the mainland. The island is bilingual, the majority speaks Swedish.

Särkisalo

Särkisalo is a former municipality of Finland, located mostly on Särkisalo island. It was consolidated with Salo on January 1, 2009. It is located in the province of Western Finland and is part of the Finland Proper region. The municipality had a population of 710 (2004-12-31) and covered an area of 82.85 km² (excluding sea) of which 1.06 km² is inland water. The population density was 8.68 inhabitants per km².

Kevola Observatory

The Kevola Observatory is located in Kevola in Paimio in South-Western Finland, some 35 km east from the city of Turku. The observatory is currently owned by Turun Ursa ry, a local astronomical association operating in Turku area. The buildings of the observatory include an observatory dome, a zenith observatory, and a house for recording observations. Kevola Observatory is listed in the IAU list of observatory codes with code 64.
