Château de Diant

The Château de Diant is a castle in the commune of Diant in the Seine-et-Marne département of France. The castle was originally constructed in the 13th century for a companion of Philippe Auguste, with additions and modifications in the 15th century and the first half of the 19th. The castle has been protected since 1946 as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture. The gardens are also listed. The castle and gardens are privately owned are not open to the public.

Château de Vallery

The Early Renaissance French Château de Vallery, in Vallery, in the département of Yonne in the Burgundy region of France, was built in 1548 for Jacques d'Albon de Saint-André, marquis de Fronsac, a court favorite of Henri II and maréchal de France. It was never completed, and what remains of it have been sadly mutilated. The site he chose was the ancient château-fort of Vallery, dating in part to the early thirteenth century; he purchased it 16 April 1548.

Yonne (river)

The Yonne is a river in France, left tributary of the Seine. It is 292 km long. The river gives its name to the Yonne département. Its source is in the Nièvre département, in the Morvan hills near Château-Chinon. It flows into the river Seine in Montereau-Fault-Yonne. The Yonne flows through the following départements and towns: Nièvre: Château-Chinon, Clamecy Yonne: Auxerre, Migennes, Joigny, Villeneuve-sur-Yonne, Sens Seine-et-Marne: Montereau-Fault-Yonne

Château de Sigy

The Château de Sigy is a modernised castle in the commune of Sigy in the Seine-et-Marne département of France. The castle dates originally from the 14th century, though much altered in the 15th, 17th and 18th centuries. Of note are the walls and roofs of the castle and its outbuildings, including two towers, the gardens surrounded by moats and two bridges across the moats. Inside, the central staircase with wooden balusters is beneath a dome.
