Château de Bouvées

The Château de Bouvées is a ruined castle in the commune of Labrihe in the Gers département of France. The castle was built between 1530 and 1560 by Monseigneur de Saint-Julien, bishop of Aire-sur-Adour, on the ruins of an earlier structure. At the time of the French Revolution, it was sold as a national asset. The building consisted of three wings enclosing an inner courtyard, flanked in the corners by round towers.

Château de Launac

The Château de Launac is a 15th century castle in the commune of Launac in the Haute-Garonne département of France. Major additions and alterations were made in the 16th and 17th centuries. Privately owned, the upper floor and the corner tower have been listed since 1927 as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture. The rest of the castle was listed in 1991.

Castles in Gers

There are numerous Castles in the Gers départment of France. Many are little more than ruins and some are barely discernible, while others have been converted into modern homes. Castles or their remains may be found at the following locations, among others: Avensac: 14th century castle, remodelled in the first half of the 19th century. Notable parts include the keep, enceinte and terrace with supporting wall and staircases.

Château d'Homps

The Château d' Homps is a ruined castle in the commune of Homps in the Gers département of France. The 13th century fortification on a rocky outcrop was abandoned for a more comfortable house built in the 16th century. It was sold as a national asset at the time of the French Revolution and used as a quarry. Only a tower converted into a pigeon loft has been saved intact. The courtyard and parts of the enceinte are still visible.

Lombez Cathedral

Lombez Cathedral (Cathédrale Sainte-Marie de Lombez) is a Roman Catholic cathedral, and a national monument of France, in Lombez. It was the seat of the former Diocese of Lombez, suppressed by the Concordat of 1801 and divided between the Diocese of Bayonne and the Archdiocese of Toulouse.
